A CEREC crown protects and strengthens tooth structure that cannot be restored with fillings or other types of restorations. CEREC uses state of the art technology that enables us to prepare beautiful restorations in a single visit. They are highly durable and will last many years, but like most dental restorations, they will eventually need to be replaced. CEREC crowns are made to match the shape, size, and color or your teeth giving you a natural, long-lasting beautiful smile. Reasons for CEREC crowns:
A CEREC crown can usually be completed in one appointment. Your appointment will include taking several highly accurate pictures that will be used by our CAD CAM technology to create your custom crown. While the tooth is numb, the dentist will prepare the tooth by removing any decay and shaping the surface to properly fit the CEREC. Your new CEREC crown, inlay, or onlay will be designed & milled while you wait. The final result is a beautiful, natural-colored tooth restoration that is much stronger than before. The ceramic material is chemically bonded to your tooth, so we can preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible. CEREC provides dental restorations that actually strengthen your teeth You will be given care instructions and encouraged to have regular dental visits to check your new CEREC. |
